Renewals Client's using the Illinois EVR program can renew most standard Illinois license plates. In this process two things happen in real time:  + A new renewal sticker is produced  + The Illinois Secretary of State's registration database is updated. *Once a renewal is completed, it cannot be backed out, or undone* A renewal needs to be performed if a customer would like to transfer license plates that are expiring within three months. This is an Illinois Secretary of State requirement when processing transactions electronically.
